Update on SCR reconstruction Announced at weekend Masses of February 18-19, 2006 • The Archidocese of New Orleans has approved the architects' evaluation of the renovation. • Three contractors bid on the project. The low bidder was selected, and the contractor is negotiating a contract with the archdiocese. • The contractor has agreed to have Presentation Hall completed by July 15 and the remainder of the parish buildings, including the church, by July 31. • Total cost will be $962,000, a lot less than expected. Grants from FEMA may help cover some expense. • All buildings will be restored to their pre-hurricane condition. There will be no major redesigns. • Persons with questions may contact Deacon Frank Minor at the Parish Center.
