History
St. Clement of Rome Parish celebrated its 40th anniversary in August 2005.
Soon after that celebration, the church and other parish buildings suffered $2 million in damages
from Hurricane Katrina, which hit metro New Orleans on August 29, 2005. The church was renovated
during the following summer and reopened for the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday, August 12, 2006.
There was an all-school Mass in church on the morning of August 28, 2008, to celebrate
the 40th anniversary of St. Clement of Rome School.
